Take a key leadership role in the development and deployment of procedures, and standards for a manufacturing quality system that meets AS9100 and FAA requirements.Lead the establishment of an aircraft inspection planExecute / Oversee the Root Cause and Corrective Action plans associated to the shop floor to include establishment of problem solving training for manufacturingDevelop metrics and KPIs to assess and act on the health of the flight line based on date from the manufacturing and quality teams.Assist in the development of training content to support new processesLead the inspection team consisting of 4-8 inspectorsAssist in the planning and process for company inspection in support of FAA conformity inspection and certification process.Support the development and roll out of Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques such as PFMEAs, control plans and SPC
What you need
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) with at least 5+ years’ experienceExperience creating and approving first article inspections with working knowledge of the tools required for inspectionExperience with MES systems and creating inspection plans electronicallyExperience with APQP - creating PPAPs, DFM, MSAs, FMEAs and SPC.Experience working in a manufacturing environment in aerospace or other highly regulated environmentsExperience with design reviews including assessing the ability to verify dimensional requirementsKnowledge of Quality Standards such as AS9100, AS9103, AS9145, and AS6500.Bonus qualifications
Experience creating real time dashboards using Tableau or Microsoft BIExperience with conformity and working with the FAA and DARsSix Sigma Black/Green Belt or ASQ Certified Quality EngineerExperience with developing/validating automated inspection equipment in a manufacturing environment including working with SQL languagesExperience with aircraft or composite assembly processesAt Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $115,000-$135,000.
