We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Permanent Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Design) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work on a variety of challenging projects that include designing, building, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems for a variety of facilities, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, using advanced design software such as AutoCAD.
- Develop comprehensive plans and coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure the successful implementation of HVAC systems.
- Perform load and energy calculations, equipment sizing and selection, and system layout.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to determine the best HVAC solutions that meet the clients' requirements.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot existing HVAC systems and recommend modifications to improve efficiency and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies and industry trends to provide the most effective solutions.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
- Collaborate with team members, provide guidance to junior engineers, and participate in project meetings and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC design and mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and design standards.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
