We are looking for a Senior Manager to build out our Risk Management function within the Strategy & Ops team of Trust & Safety. This leader will be responsible for overseeing the evaluation, monitoring, and mitigation of Trust-related risks when new products and features are being developed. This role will be a sole contributor while assessing the business needs to potentially grow the function. The leader will be instrumental in shaping how we manage risk across our platform, ensuring the high standards of safety, security, and trust. You will partner with stakeholders to ensure that the teams will operationalize processes.

What you'll do:

Establish new Trust & Safety Risk Mitigation function: develop, build, and lead new risk management frameworks and initiatives across Trust & Safety as well as with our Product partners

Create ways to both proactively and reactively assess risks

Design and manage a scalable intake process for identifying and addressing potential trust and safety risks associated with new product launches/features. Collaborate across departments to ensure proper review and holistic approach

Partner closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to integrate Trust & Safety assessment into the product development lifecycle. Ensure the new features, products, and platform changes are reviewed, trust-approved, and operationalized before launch

Determine headcount recommendations and hiring needs for the risk management function

Create process documentation

Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, such as product, engineering, vendor management, legal, operations, finance and other teams on risk planning

Investigate results that do not align with expectations and share insights on appropriate corrective action that will strengthen business performance

Prepare and lead instructional and educational presentations

Drive improved process management and decision-making processes over time

What we're looking for:

Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate messages that link business issues, risk, strategy, and solutions

Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and interpret relevant business and resource information to support decision-making processes with experience in risk assessment and/or Trust & Safety processes

Track record of delivering results; superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture

Experience using project-related tools (Jira, Smartsheets, Excel)

Knowledge of Trust & Safety preferred

5+ years of relevant experience in program management, risk management, and or Trust & Safety

This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
