Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical with Neuro Experience Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, 12-hour shifts Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nursing License Certifications: BLS, IV Certification for LVNs, NIH Must-Have: Neuro experience Job Description: - Backfill contract position for the Med-Surg/Tele unit, 5C- Work schedule includes 4 weekend shifts per schedule- Provide care on a 30-bed unit with a team comprised of various healthcare professionals, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:5- Familiarity with equipment such as Welch Allyn Vital Sign Monitors, COWs, Hoyer Lifts, PCA Pumps, CareView Virtual Sitters, Telepsych, and Teleneuro- Use Meditech electronic medical record system- Perform typical procedures including stroke care, NIH assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care- Seek candidates who are team-oriented and self-motivated- Adhere to a dress code of navy scrubs, noting that hoop nose piercings are not allowed- Join a unit recognized for multiple ICARE awards and staff recognition based on patient feedback- Work alongside a seasoned staff in an environment with updated equipment and technologiesPlease note that all successful candidates will receive a comprehensive packet with unit guidelines and policies on the start date.
