Salary: $130,000 - $175,000 per year
A bit about us:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. This is a position that will require you to manage, plan, and prepare various tax returns and related reports for our organization. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and will also be responsible for the preparation and review of High Net Worth and Trust & Estate Tax Returns.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and ensure timely submission.
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including the calculation of deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and tax footnote disclosures.
- Manage and coordinate tax audits.
- Provide tax planning and consulting to management to optimize tax strategies and compliance.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
- Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
- Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
- Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree in taxation or CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in public accounting.
- Proficient in High Net Worth and Trust & Estate Tax Returns.
- Experience with preparation and review responsibilities.
- Strong accounting, analytical, technical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using tax preparation software and reporting tools.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects/assignments and prioritize tasks.
