We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Development Associate to join our growing team in the Construction industry. This role is ideal for a dynamic and results-driven professional with a strong background in land feasibility analysis, financial application, financial underwriting, due diligence, and contract solicitation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from ground-up development to major renovations, and contribute to the growth and success of our company. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

The Development Associate will primarily be responsible for:

  1. Conducting comprehensive land feasibility analysis to evaluate potential development opportunities.
  2. Preparing and submitting financial applications and securing necessary approvals.
  3. Performing financial underwriting to assess the viability of proposed projects.
  4. Conducting thorough due diligence to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  5. Managing contract solicitation processes, including preparing RFPs, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  7. Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to senior management.
  8. Identifying and cultivating relationships with potential partners and investors.
  9. Staying abreast of industry trends and regulations to inform strategic decision-making.
  10. Contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes and systems.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Development Associate role will have the following qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  2. Proven experience in land feasibility analysis, financial application, financial underwriting, due diligence, and contract solicitation.
  3. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
  4. Strong financial acumen and the ability to make sound decisions based on financial analysis.
  5. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  9. Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  10. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
