Position descriptionThe Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a
Musculoskeletal Radiologist
for a faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, In-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.The selected candidate should demonstrate a commitment to building a strong academic career and excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The candidate will supervise trainees and provide outstanding teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows at a top radiology training program in the country. The candidate is also expected to be engaged in the academic mission specifically also in research. To accomplish this, the department seeks candidates who have clinical expertise in musculoskeletal imaging. Obligations will include clinical work primarily at UCSF's Parnassus Campus at the ACC building and UCSF's Orthopedic Institute at Mission Bay, but may also include clinical work at other UCSF Health and UCSF affiliated sites.The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability (or eligible) to practice medicine in California, and completion of fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology, or be prepared to enter into the ABR Alternate Pathway. The qualifications are to be met at time of hire. Applicants must list all of these qualifications (or if pending) on their CV upon submission.The UCSF Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging offers faculty salaries that are highly competitive with the national radiology benchmarks.
