Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 18:00) Guaranteed Hours: 3, 12-hour shifts - 36 hours in one workweek Experience: Minimum of 18 months required; 2 years preferred License: IN or compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Charge experience; ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias (must have 3-4), IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips, starting IVs, titration of cardiac & vasoactive drips, tracheostomy care, feeding tubes, chest tube Job Description: - Perform duties in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU).- Manage patient ratios of 1:4.- Float within scope to meet facility needs.- Discuss options for accommodating block schedule.- Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required.- Follow special requirements for handling dysrhythmias, insulin, and cardiac care.- Participate in orientation for 12 hours.- Adhere to facility requirements for flu vaccination; medical/religious exemptions are considered.- Meet facility-specific requirements for charting and documentation. Note: Candidates must have relevant certifications in hand to apply. Travel and additional licensing procedures may be required. Flu vaccine is mandatory unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
