Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Department Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Guaranteed Hours: N/A Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting License: VA License/Compact License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI Must-Have: - Strong IV skills for adults and pediatric patients - Excellent communication skills Job Description: - Work in an Emergency Department with 22 beds and additional vertical space for patients - Collaborate with a team approximately 50 staff members - Manage patient ratios of 1:4 - Utilize Philips & GE Monitors, Level 1 Rapid Infuser, and Meditech (EDM) for electronic medical records - Perform typical emergency room procedures such as: - Cardioversion - Central line placements - Cardiac arrests - IV insertions, EKGs, pacemaker interrogation - Code Stroke and Code Sepsis protocols - Suture/abscess setup - Must be a team player, energetic, professional, and respectful to both patients and team members - Demonstrate excellent attendance and the ability to adapt quickly to change - Potentially float to a Free-Standing Emergency Department location - Adhere to dress code requiring teal top with black or teal bottoms - Work every other weekend, including at least one Friday and one Monday in a four-week schedule Preferred candidates will have trauma experience, TNCC certification, and prior Meditech experience.
