Job Title: Physician Job Specialty: Gastroenterology Job Duration: 13 months Shift: 24-hour On Call, 14 days on, 14 days off, with 8 hours of patient contact Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Illinois state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Board Certified/Board Eligible Must-Have: COVID-19 vaccination, DEA required with verbal confirmation Job Description: - Provide two weeks of coverage on a monthly basis.- Work schedule includes daily 24-hour on-call duties with 8 hours of patient contact.- Conduct callbacks after patient contact hours as necessary.- Utilize on-site lab and X-ray facilities.- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) handled with EPIC/Provation for GI procedure documentation.- Required procedures include: - Esophageal Dilatation - Small Bowel Biopsy - Lower GI Endoscopy - Sigmoidoscopy - Colonoscopy - Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube- Required types of Upper GI Endoscopy include: - With Biopsy - With Foreign Body Removal - With Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery) - With Banding of Varices - With ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) - Diagnostic - Therapeutic - With PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)- Orientation is provided with four hours of paid training.- Provide own arrangements for meals, laundry, dry cleaning, telephone, TV, or entertainment.
