Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Specialty: Neuro Trauma Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45-07:15 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active Compact License Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS)- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - Telemetry Step-down Experience Job Description: - Work as part of a team to provide care in a 23-bed unit- Manage patient ratios of 4:1 under night shift conditions with 6-7 RNs and 2 aides- Operate equipment such as bedside monitors, end tidal O2 monitoring, high flow, chronic vents, and subdural drains- Perform typical procedures such as administering chest tubes and conducting EEGs- Demonstrate qualities preferred for the role, such as team orientation and neuro or trauma experience- Float to all inpatient units, including ICU and ED, as needed- Comply with professional attire standards in scrubs without specific color requirements- Work every other weekend with no on-call requirement
