Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel parts using MIG and/or TIG process. The work is repetitive in nature and requires a strong sense of details. Responsibility to perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by your supervisor may be required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Set up welding machines based on the job at hand.Read & interpret blueprints and or drawings to determine the specific welding requiredMIG or TIG weld Steel, Aluminum or stainless steelEnsure work is done safely and meets quality standardsMust wear PPE to include but not limited to welding helmet and welding glovesMust be able to use precision measuring tool to inspect grooves and anglesKeep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment.Follow company rules and policiesProvide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given taskFollow safety rules and quality standardsWork with team members to maximize productivity and efficiencyMust have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional mannerMust show up at work on time and as scheduled.

Education and Experience:High School diploma or GED preferredOne year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience requiredTwo years of experience with MIG or TIG welding requiredExperience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel preferredCurrent & valid certification a plusAbility to read blue printsBasic math skills

Physical & Environmental Conditions:Ability to stand for long periods of timeAbility to stand, sit, bend and kneel without difficultyAbility to lift/pull/push 50lbsExposure to loud noisesExposure to heat and fumesWorking in the presence of fork trucks and other manufacturing machinery
