Senior Accountant IV - Trust Accounting

The Senior Trust Accountant is responsible for reviewing all investment-related transactions, performing administrative and accounting functions for the Pooled Income Funds (PIF), supervising a team, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting journals.

Transaction Review:

Ensure accuracy and completeness of all Department batches processed in GWES.Pooled Income Fund Management:

Review monthly valuations, new unit calculations, terminations, payments, and tax reporting.Journal Review:

Approve all Oracle journals for accuracy and completeness.Reconciliation:

Review the Gain and Loss, Principal, and Income reconciliations.Audit Management:

Lead Investment Accounting responsibilities in the annual audit, manage CIRTS, and produce audit schedules.Database Management:

Set up new assets, accounts, and ACH in GWES.Supervision:

Supervise and train accounting staff and conduct annual performance reviews.Record Keeping:

Oversee filing and record retention and maintain the Department’s Procedural Manual.Special Projects:

Perform related and special duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements

BA in AccountingStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independentlyCritical thinkingStrong GAAP knowledgeExperience working with accounting software, Oracle, MS Excel, and MS Word.Able to work in the US legally without sponsorship.Preferred Requirements

Working in the Accounting field for at least five yearsAdvanced Excel skillsStrong GAAP knowledgeSupervisory experience

This is a full-time position that is expected to work onsite at least two times per week. This job operates in a professional office environment and frequently uses Trust Accounting software, Oracle, Gift Annuity Software (Giftwrap), Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
