Title: QA Inspector II
Location: Hayward, CA
Duration: 3 Months (Possibility for extension)
Description:
Summary:
The QA Inspector will be primarily responsible for ensuring Quality Finished Goods Inspection support is available to Manufacturing whenever necessary without interrupting Manufacturing operations. The QA Inspector will also perform general Quality Operations duties.
Inspection experience is ideal for this position based on the day to day expectations of inspection, but other Quality experience could be valuable as well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Finished Goods Team:
o Responsible for the inspection and verification activities in the manufacturing process. Must always adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
o Inspection and release of production and in-process materials and components.
o Verify various manufacturing steps and techniques.
o Inspection of in-process finished goods and other samples for distribution.
o Tagging and de-tagging of discrepant material.
o Release of packaged product into warehouse.
o Maintenance and disposal of quality retains.
o Control and verification of patient labels.
o Archiving of quality records.
- General Quality Duties
o Closely monitors production lines and personnel to verify compliance to specifications and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
o Conducts final packaging inspections of final product and documents results in appropriate manner.
o Interacts with appropriate departments to ensure product quality issues are resolved prior to final product release.
o Monitors and ensures proper segregation and identification practices during manufacturing or rework processes.
o Perform periodic audits of manufacturing practices and local procedures. Procedural changes in response to these audits may be initiated and coordinated by the QA Inspector.
o Must be able to effectively communicate across all departments and levels of management.
o Other duties, as assigned.

No Extended duration PTO would be ideal. Days here and there isnt a big deal. There is a Planned Maintenance scheduled in December for Hayward, but the expectation of team from a sit support perspective during that time. Historically, its mandatory PTO for permanents and Unpaid leave for temps during that time.
Time Schedule: 11a-7:30p with 30 lunch in the middle.
