Salary: $115,000 - $150,000 per year

This role provides technical and design services for electrical design projects, producing construction drawings and specifications for clients. The successful candidate will directly assist the Director of Electrical Engineering and have significant job growth potential, with the opportunity to be promoted to the Director of Electrical Engineering in the near future.

Job Details

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

PE Registration with the ability to be licensed by comity in other states.

15+ years of experience in Electrical Design, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and coordination/arc flash studies.

Extensive knowledge of the National Electric Code.

Strong knowledge of Building Codes, applicable NFPA Codes, and Energy Codes.

Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.

Must be a US Citizen and possess a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Federal/Municipal Government, Healthcare, or Aviation.

LEED AP certification.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design effort on both large and small projects.

Manage design schedules and oversee design team members.

Collaborate directly with Architects and Owners.

Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to assigned projects.

Mentor senior and junior-level staff.

Prepare various written reports and meeting minutes.

Produce and lead the creation of design documents (drawings and specifications).

Travel for projects both nationally and internationally as needed.

Provide Quality Control (QC) to ensure adherence to applicable codes, company standards, and project requirements.

Serve as a technical consultant for planning, design, and construction across various facility categories.

Assist in determining departmental resources and long-term planning.

Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively.

Serve as the individual in responsible charge of projects (DOR).
