Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial operations of the dealership, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and management. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of dealership accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support management decision-making.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as adherence to dealership policies and procedures.

Conduct monthly reconciliations of all accounts and maintain accurate financial records.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and development to enhance team performance.

Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial processes and improve efficiency.

Prepare for and coordinate external audits and assist in the implementation of any recommendations.

Monitor cash flow and manage dealership financing, including floor plan financing.

Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure best practices are followed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

5+ years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a management role, preferably in an automotive dealership setting.

Proficient in accounting software and dealership management systems (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK).

Strong understanding of dealership accounting principles and practices.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and external partners.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
