We build small, inclusive teams to bring the best of consumer technology to the problems of government.Primary Responsibilities:Serve as an experienced individual contributor within a team, developing leadership, guidance, and mentoring skills.Support the goal of meeting scope, schedule, and delivery requirements.Impact the long-term goals of the program and contribute to the implementation of the program's development strategy.Act as the discipline's primary lead when working with stakeholders and utilize strong influential skills to drive improvements in software engineering processes and practices.Demonstrate expertise, accountability, and ownership of contributions to an application code base.Maintain a high-level understanding of adjacent technical areas to effectively coordinate integration.Diagnose and resolve issues with the systems owned, using incidents to inform educational opportunities and system improvements.Mentor and assist junior engineers in skill development.Communicate technical issues and developments effectively.Participate in technical interviews with new candidates.Propose and evaluate multiple approaches to technical and process problems.Present design documents and system diagrams to clients, stakeholders, partners, and other engineers.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of engineering experience, of which 4 years must be specialized in the specific subject area.Experience with Ruby on Rails.
