About the RoleAre you passionate about optimizing technology to elevate the employee experience? As a key member of our HR Ops team, reporting to the Senior Manager HRIS, you’ll take the lead in configuring and managing our Workday HRIS - ensuring it’s not only functional, but also a catalyst for driving team efficiency and success.

From resolving complex issues to collaborating with cross-functional teams like Finance, IT, and Recruiting, your day-to-day will include hands-on configuration, troubleshooting escalations, project management, and ensuring the seamless operation of our HR processes within Workday and integrated platforms. You’ll play a crucial role in leveraging Workday’s full potential, developing both short- and long-term strategies that drive impact, ultimately building an HR tech infrastructure that is globally aligned, scalable, and employee-centric.

Responsibilities

Workday HRIS Administration:

Administer and maintain our Workday HRIS across modules like HCM, US Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, Talent Optimization, Learning, Reporting, and Security. Ensure configurations are globally aligned, legally compliant, scalable, and focused on enhancing the employee experience.

New Feature Implementation & Integration:

Evaluate, implement, and integrate new Workday features. Partner with cross-functional teams, develop test plans, and manage project timelines to drive impactful results.

Process Automation & Improvement:

Collaborate with functional partners to automate People processes by gathering requirements, evaluating alternatives, and implementing, testing, and maintaining streamlined workflows.

Day-to-Day Operations Support:

Ensure the smooth operation of our HR processes by resolving escalations, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing technical support for People, Payroll, and other end users.

Data Integrity & Reporting:

Manage complex data uploads (EIBs), conduct system audits to ensure efficiency and data integrity, and develop custom reports using Workday Report Writer and Designer tools.

Training & Documentation:

Create and maintain training documents related to system updates. Guide and train new colleagues on system processes as needed.

Workday Expertise:

3+ years of experience utilizing Workday, including hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: Compensation, Integrations, HCM, Reporting, Security, Absence, Benefits, Time Tracking, or Payroll.

Analytical & Automation Skills:

Proven ability to drive measurable improvements through the automation, configuration, and implementation of Workday functionality, utilizing strong analytical skills to solve complex challenges.

Solution-Oriented:

Experience gathering detailed requirements and translating business partner needs into effective technical solutions. Skilled at providing clear, accessible explanations and alternatives to non-technical stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Project Leadership:

Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects by listening to diverse perspectives, building consensus, and delivering projects with well-defined objectives, milestones, and deadlines.

HR Compliance Knowledge:

Solid understanding of HR legal and regulatory compliance and best practices, with demonstrated success in applying this expertise within Workday configurations.

Continuous Learner & Self-Starter:

A proactive learner who actively seeks out new challenges, embraces opportunities for greater responsibility, and consistently drives best practices—even beyond the scope of assigned duties.

Global Collaboration Flexibility:

Experience working across multiple countries and time zones in a global organization, with the flexibility to occasionally accommodate early morning or late evening meetings.

Bonus points if you have

Workday Pro Certification:

Workday Pro certification or equivalent in-depth experience is highly preferred, showcasing advanced expertise in leveraging the system’s full capabilities.

Workday Studio & Integrations Experience:

Familiarity with Workday Studio integrations, particularly with systems like Greenhouse recruiting and Cloudpay payroll, is a strong asset.

Global Operations Experience:

Experience working with HR processes in Canada and/or the Philippines, demonstrating an understanding of country-specific regulations and practices.

Vendor & Integration Management:

Experience managing vendor relationships and integrations, including applicant tracking systems and global payroll vendors, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.

For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salary range for the role is currently

$127,600 - $172,600 . Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.

For candidates living in all other US locations, the expected salary range for this role is currently

$108,500 - $146,700 . Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
