As the Commercial Development Associate, you will lead the identification of new business opportunities through lead generation and qualification as well as additional tasks, as described below, at the request of the Executive Director, Commercial Development. We are proud to cultivate a culture that will fuel your passion, energy and drive - what we call Genki.This is a remote position that will support our sites in the United States (RTP, NC; Holly Springs, NC; College Station, TX; and Thousand Oaks, CA) and provide some support to our sites in Europe (United Kingdom and Denmark).MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead generation and qualification for:Research & source new opportunities through inbound lead qualification/follow-up, outbound cold calling/email outreach & marketing campaigns.Meet monthly lead qualification targets.Reply to initial client questions/requests for additional info.Route qualified leads to CDM’s for development/closure.Expand/maintain database of prospects in SF.Build knowledge of client needs & present service offerings to prospective clients.At request of Executive Director, Commercial Development, support the following:FDB marketing and promotional efforts.Campaign design and campaign reach outs.Contact of new and existing customers regarding upcoming events which FDB plans to participate.Assist with marketing campaigns for new services.Attend tradeshow or regional professional networking events.Support scheduling meetings at conferences with new and existing clients and ensure all conference follow ups have been made within time frame specified in best practice.Ensuring team maintains timely updates / data integrity for other databases/records as requested.Participate in sales team meetings, customer visits, other regular company meetings.Collaborate with and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships with Sales, Technical Support, Business Development, Marketing, Program Management and other internal and external stakeholders as it relates to lead generation and qualification and other activities as requested by Executive Director, Commercial Development.Maintain professional and positive client relationship during the sales cycle.Maintain knowledge of industry and company news and developments within team’s region.BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or science is required.Minimum two years of experience in biologics or advanced therapies drug development and/or contract manufacturing/testing organization or a service/product provider for the biologics/advanced therapies industry or an academic laboratory within a relevant area of research.Experience working in a business / sales role is preferred.Excellent technical writing skills required.Demonstrated ability to work in an environment that requires teamwork and the entrepreneurial/start-up mentality of “doing whatever it takes to get the job done” required.Strong presentation and customer-interaction skills required.Good understanding of biologics drug development market/business required.The US salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.FDBU works with technical data, technology and materials that are subject to U.S. export laws and regulations. This position will require access to technical data, technology and source code that is controlled under U.S. export laws and regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations at 22 C.F.R. Parts 120 – 130 and Export Administration Regulations in 15 C.F.R. Part 730 – 774, as may be amended.
