Director- Information Systems
to lead our Information Systems (IT) team!

Job Summary:
Under administrative direction, the Director of Information Services provides leadership in all aspects of enterprise information technology (IT) to include cyber security, applications implementation, management and support, computer hardware and infrastructure, wireless and cable communication networks telephony, data warehousing and data access and analytics. The Director leads in planning, acquiring and implementing information systems and technology to support distributed and centralized clinical and business operations and achieves effective and cost efficient enterprise-wide IT operations.
The incumbent provides strategic and tactical planning, provides guidance and oversight of IT governance processes, automation application management to include evaluation, selection, contracting, implementation, and support, as well as coordination of the information and technology systems. The incumbent promotes automation in concert with the stated IT strategy helping ensure the most effective information systems and technology solutions are in place and in alignment with organizational goals. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring IT solutions interface with the hospital’s electronic health record and ERP software. In addition, the Director ensures that the hospital’s data (clinical, administrative and email) files are properly recorded, “backed-up” on a systematic basis and archived per hospital policies, and that information is transferred and between IT systems, as needed.
The Director leads and facilitates communication between staff, management, vendors, and other third-party relationships. The incumbent oversees, evaluates, and ensures system security, business continuity and disaster recovery planning and implementation. The Director contributes to the organization and strategic planning of the organization.
Desired Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Information Systems or Electronic Communications. Master’s degree in computer science is preferred.
Substitution:
Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Experience(s):
Five
(5)
years’ experience as a director or Manager; experience in a hospital or health care environment preferred. Experience with healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g. HIPAA; Joint Commission) in a healthcare setting. Experience should include hands-on experience with all aspects of Information Technology such as networking, servers, desktops, data center management, disaster recovery, security, telecommunications as well as healthcare information exchange (HIE) platform concepts/design.
