Job Description Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Director, Product Marketing to help drive end-to-end marketing strategies for PayPal’s portfolio of Microbusiness solutions. This ideal senior manager is customer-obsessed, has a strong background in product marketing and go-to-market planning, and the ability to identify what makes a product or feature great. You will use your data-driven mindset and passion for addressing merchant challenges within the Microbusiness business industry to guide cross-functional teams from Product and Engineering to Sales Enablement, Creative and beyond. Your responsibilities will include defining and refining product roadmaps, developing impactful marketing strategies to fuel portfolio growth, and collaborating across multiple business lines to ensure alignment and innovation in our product offerings and strategic initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Develop product positioning and messaging for products and features that are driven by merchant feedback, competitive research, and a deep understanding of our Microbusiness solutions.
Scope and execute global marketing strategies that are driven from qualitative and quantitative insights across multiple customer segments.
Partner with analytics and leadership to ensure tracking and reporting of growth KPIs on an ongoing basis.
Collaborate with Product/Design/Eng/Market Research to influence product roadmaps with the goal of increasing product adoption, differentiation, and customer growth.
Ensure consistency and alignment across business lines, influencing and shaping product and marketing strategies to meet business goals.
Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform product development and positioning.
What You’ll Bring
7-10 years experience in product marketing, specifically around digital and small business solutions. Bonus if you have experience specifically in marketing to emerging businesses and solopreneurs.
Experience working in B2B settings and on marketing or growth strategies in a product lifecycle.
Passion for customer-centric strategy, with experience in generating qualitative and quantitative insights and using those insights to inform marketing strategies.
Team player who knows how to walk through walls and make friends along the way.
Fast study. You learn quickly and can roll up your sleeves to problem solve and get it done.
You operate with a sense of urgency and a bias for action.
