**Job Title:** Registered Nurse**Job Specialty:** PCU**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 18:00)**Guaranteed Hours:** 3, 12-hour shifts - 36 hours in one workweek**Experience:** Minimum 18 months required**License:** IN or compact license required**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS required; NIH preferred**Must-Have:** Neuro and oncology experience preferred
**Job Description:**
- Effective 11/30/24, new contracts must be started by 9/9 for certain RNs due to changes in employment eligibility.- Perioperative, OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers may work beyond the 11/30 deadline.- Mixed acuity unit; travelers will work with both medical and PCU-level care patients.- Ratios: MedSurg 1:5-6; PCU 1:3-4.- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.- On-call is not required.- Floating: Travelers will float within scope to meet facility needs.- Special Requirements: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, accessing ports, starting IVs.- Additional Experience: Central Line Care/Management, monitoring chemotherapy.- Scrub Color: Red top, black bottoms.- Charting System: Cerner.- Orientation: 12 hours non-billable.
Note: This position requires candidates to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated hospitals. Two supervisor references are required. Travelers' university must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation.
