Job Summary:

The GMS Systems Analyst is responsible for providing technical support and performing system administration and maintenance activities for the Energy Management System (EMS) and its associated applications.

The role involves ensuring system uptime, troubleshooting issues, and supporting system modifications to optimize grid operations.

This position reports to the Supervisor of Grid & Market Solutions (GMS) Systems Support Team.

Key Responsibilities: Provide system administration, support, and maintenance for EMS systems. Integrate EMS applications and perform routine monitoring and maintenance activities. Conduct testing, log defects, and coordinate with teams to resolve issues. Collaborate with EMS vendors and internal development teams to reproduce and test defect fixes. Support EMS acceptance testing for new or enhanced applications with Operations Engineering and Market Operations teams. Manage database updates and upgrades in EMS environments. Implement code builds, patches, and system migrations. Respond to system failures and troubleshoot EMS systems and applications on a 24/7 basis. Maintain real-time data collection to support EMS functions and ensure system reliability. Participate in EMS disaster recovery drills and system improvement activities. Assist in planning and evaluating the impact of system modifications and maintenance activities. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of experience in system administration on Linux/Windows operating systems. Proficiency with RDBMS (Oracle/SQL DB). Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Inter Control-Center Communication Protocol (ICCP). Ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and collaborate with stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with EMS systems, particularly GE EMS Suite or other vendors such as Hitachi/ABB, Siemens, or OSI. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Familiarity with EMS disaster recovery procedures and system setup.
