Job Summary:We are seeking a Sr. Java Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting/modifying existing software/applications. The ideal candidate must be well-organized, driven, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. The individual will assist in production releases, perform research, and aid in resolving production issues while contributing to design, development, and integration activities. The role requires quick learning abilities to adapt to evolving architectural roadmaps of emerging digital commercial technologies.
Key Responsibilities:•Understand business requirements and collaborate with Business/Technology leaders, Enterprise Architects, and End Users to develop and deploy solutions.•Design and build sophisticated and highly scalable applications.•Explore feasible architectures for implementing new features.•Support the creation and configuration of OpenShift projects.•Resolve any system problems and suggest new features or improvements.•Design, test, debug, document, and implement Spring Boot-based microservices in support of business needs.•Work with internal partners to onboard new and/or existing APIs exposed through the API Gateway.•Triage and resolve issues occurring in production systems.•Provide direction and training to other team members.•Follow best practices during development, ensuring all security guidelines are adhered to.•Validate cloud systems to ensure security is uncompromised by any changes.•Suggest new features and enhancements.•Maintain software through product lifecycle including design, development, verification, and bug fixes.•Regularly connect with Quality Assurance Specialists to ensure stable app delivery.•Resolve bugs reported by the Quality Assurance team promptly.•Perform time profiling and memory leaks assessment.•Adhere to company policies and quality procedures to ensure quality product deliverables.
Required Qualifications:•7+ years of experience working with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.•5+ years of experience with database servers such as SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2.•Experience with Microservices architecture and solid knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.•Experience using tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Stash, GIT, SVN, Splunk, and Soap UI.•Experience working with Java IDEs such as JBDS, Eclipse, IntelliJ, NetBeans, or webMethods Developer.•Proven experience in designing and developing REST and SOAP-based services under a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Preferred Qualifications:•Ability to work independently and multitask in a collaborative work environment.•Willingness and aptitude for continuous improvement.•Strong team player with a ""do the right thing"" attitude.•Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on customer service.
