The Senior Income Tax Manager will report to the Director of Taxes and be responsible for the management of the income tax compliance of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation and its subsidiaries.Reporting to the Senior Income Tax Manager are six direct reports plus contractors working remotely. The Senior Income Tax Manager will reinforce Fujifilm’s leadership values by transforming the income tax area into a customer-focused, proactive operation that will help drive Fujifilm’s business.FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation is the holding company for North American based FUJIFILM companies operating in many states across the US, as well as in Canada, Brazil, and Colombia, and engaged in the research, development, manufacture, sale, and service of FUJIFILM products. The company serves a broad spectrum of industries in the U.S. including medical and life sciences, electronic, chemical, graphic arts, information systems, broadcast, and photography.Responsibilities
Take a “hands-on” role in the preparation of the federal consolidated income tax return and state income tax filings in 46 states.Review tax filings prepared by staff for technical accuracy and completeness.Serve as a mentor for junior members of the staff in their professional development.Conduct federal and state tax research.Manage tax projects to ensure timely completion.Interface with other departments in gathering data for tax compliance as well as provide guidance on tax-related matters.Identify tax saving opportunities and spot potential tax risks.Manage state and local income tax audits, assist the Director of Taxes with Federal tax audit.Make presentations before management on tax matters.Manage projects utilizing external consultants.Required Skills/Education
Minimum of 7 - 10 years’ experience in both public accounting and private industry with a proven track record of advancement.Advanced degree in taxation (MBA or MS).Technical competency in Federal and State income taxation relative to a large, multi-national corporation.Thorough knowledge of tax provision preparation (ASC740).Prior managerial experience.Strong interpersonal skills for managing a staff of tax professionals as well as dealing with external service providers.Prior experience working with Thomson Reuters OneSource and Excel.Desired Skills
Prior experience with the preparation of tax provisions from start to finish.Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards helpful, but not required.Prior experience supporting internal customers in a shared services environment.Expectations Within 6-9 Months:
Develop understanding of Fujifilm and its business operations.Become fully integrated into the daily operations of the Tax Dept.Demonstrate technical skills in the areas of tax compliance and tax provisions.Effectively manage staff and the workflow.Expectations Within 9-18 Months:
Assume leadership role by being proactive in establishing deadlines, assigning work, monitoring completion and identifying tax issues which need to be addressed.Assess current processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvements, including automation where possible.Salary and Benefits:
