We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!Organization:SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-BayPosition Overview:Participates in the development of enterprise technology, solutions, systems, storage, network and telecommunications engineering designs that are used as a basis for consolidating and standardizing infrastructure throughout Sutter Health and its affiliates. Participates in interpreting architecture requirements, design, product evaluations, selection, configuration, installation, testing and integration of new technology in order to better support the needs of Sutter Health and its affiliates. Heavily involved in human-interface computing devices and their integration with clinical and technical workflows and infrastructure.Principal immediate focus will be on backup power systems in edge environments.Job Description :EDUCATION:Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.Associate's: Information Systems Technical field or equivalent education/experience

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:1 year recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Demonstrated knowledge of storage performance, data replication, storage area network (SAN) based backup, load balancing, storage virtualization methods, and SAN zoning and provisioning.

Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, information services (IS) team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.

Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Use basic English words and phrases to effectively and clearly organize and communicate thoughts and ideas.

Organize workflow to accomplish established objectives.

Prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.

Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.

Work as part of a team or collaborate with colleagues from different departments to achieve a common goal or to gain better understanding of client needs.

Transmission control protocol (TCP)/IP and open systems interconnection (OSI) model. Routing protocol – enhanced interior gateway routing protocol (EiGRP), open shortest path first (OSPF), border gateway protocol (BGP). frame relay/asynchronous transfer mode (FR/ATM), point-to-point protocol (PPP), high-level data link control (HDLC), multi-link point-to-point protocol (MLPPP) and virtual local area network (VLAN). digital signal and transmission line (DS3/T3), DS1/T1, fast Ethernet (FAST E), gigabit Ethernet (Gig E), 10 gigabit Ethernet (10 Gig E).Department: Systems specialty, Wide range of server platforms which may include: server operating systems (e.g. Windows, OS400, AIX, Linux, VMS), Citrix, technologies for high availability (e.g. high availability cluster multiprocessing (HACMP), MS Clustering, content switching), virtualization (e.g. logical partitioning, VMWare), provisioning, monitoring and inventory tool sets (e.g. Tivoli, MS Systems Center, Opsware, BMC), directory services (such as MS active directory) and messaging / collaboration, and TCP/IP-based services, including domain name system (DNS), dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP), hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP), file transfer protocol (FTP), secure shell (SSH), simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP), print services, and other infrastructure components.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:See required physical demands, mental components, visual activities & working conditions at the following link:

For candidates residing outside of San Francisco the Pay Range is $44.28 to $66.42 / hour.The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
