The Director, Market Access Strategic Analytics will drive the translation of data and analytics into actionable insights and strategies across Market Access and GSK’s portfolio. This individual will lead a small, agile team that works closely with various teams across the organization, using data to inform strategies that ensure our therapies reach the right patients while delivering value. This team is expected to grow into a center of excellence that thrives in using a variety of resources to evaluate difficult business questions. It will be essential in shaping how we position our products in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Pull together quantitative and qualitative resources across GSK to identify and deliver analyses across GSK’s portfolio that drive actionable insight for Market Access Strategy including:

Exploration of critical business questions.

Deep evaluation of gross to net strategy performance and opportunity.

Benchmark KPIs to enhance the understanding of strategic initiatives and track trends.

Assess the impact of Market Access Marketing campaigns.

Work with Above Brand Strategy to measure fee for service initiatives and facilitate data and analytics partnerships with customers.

Partner with Market Access Data, Reporting, & Analytics to develop capabilities that elevate Market Access Strategy’s business intelligence including reports, analytics, and predictive/ML.

Facilitate prioritization of the Strategy team’s data needs.

Build and maintain a team with a focus of strong partnership with market access strategy, and cross functional collaborators across field teams, brand, and others to ensure key account strategic and tactical alignment.

Travel Required: Yes, 10-20%

Management Responsibilities:

Set clear direction for your direct reports aligned with organizational goals.

Provide direct reports with appropriate coaching, mentoring and development.

Reprioritize work, as needed. Enable others to do their job well by communicating information and making decisions in a clear, timely manner.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

5+ years of experience in life sciences industry analytics roles.

3+ years experience translating data and analytics into business insight and strategy.

Proven experience with life science data including claims, DDD, EHR, gross to net, formulary coverage, etc.

Demonstrated analytics skillset that includes any combination of Excel, business intelligence software, or data programming languages.

Note: this role is not expected to code, but the ability to communicate with engineers data scientists, and technical analysts to facilitate the right analysis is important.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven ability to lead teams working on multiple projects with a high degree of initiative including project planning and prioritization of competing demands as well as individual coaching and development of team members.

Experience with recommending and negotiating complex decisions within a matrix environment.

Experience hiring and managing third-party vendors.

Experience and understanding of US market access business dynamics and customer business models (PBMs, Health Plans, Providers, Pharmacies, Hospitals, Clinics, ASOCs etc.).
