Your ImpactAs Axon's Corporate Counsel (Federal), you will report directly to our Assistant General Counsel and serve as an in-house attorney primarily supporting Axon's Federal team. As a legal partner to business teammates, you will handle transactional legal matters and projects, advise and drive regulatory and compliance initiatives, and research and advise on legal rights and duties as they relate to Axon's Federal business.

What You'll DoLocation: Washington, DCReports to: Deputy General CounselServe as primary Legal support to Axon’s Federal team in its pursuit of supporting and growing Axon’s U.S. federal businessServe as Axon’s subject matter expert for federal government contracting matters and related compliance requirementsImprove, develop, and execute Axon’s policies, processes, and procedures for compliance with federal contracting requirementsCoordinate cross-functionally across Axon with Sales, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, and People Operations to support the company’s growth in federal marketsSupport development, implementation, and maintenance of contract lifecycle management systemAdvise on federal regulatory compliance for business organizationsResearch and advise on corporate governance practices, including federal contractual compliancePerform general legal research and analyze associated impact on the companySupport state and local contracting efforts as neededSupport and help maintain Axon’s compliance with federal data controls, including CUI and relevant security clearancesWhat You Bring

Minimum of 7 years of corporate, transactional, and compliance experience in the federal spaceProven experience drafting and negotiating transactions with the federal governmentDeep understanding and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Understanding of and experience with multiple award contracting, including Federal GSA schedule management considerations (e.g. preparing Commercial Sales Practices submissions, IFF reporting, subsequent GSA schedule requirements monitoring)Experience with export control compliance of controlled technology, including experience with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is preferredAdministrative and managerial skills and abilityExcellent research, writing, analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skillsHigh attention to detail, self-starter, and ability to work independentlyThrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environmentSuccess working as part of a team and ability to handle multiple projects and assignmentsIntellectual horsepower, bias for action, pass-first attitudeJD from an accredited law school with outstanding academic credentialsAdmission to a State Bar within the United StatesBenefits that Benefit You
