We employ over 2,500 people in 17 manufacturing facilities, 2 corporate & sales offices, and 3 R&D facilities across Canada, Europe, and the United States.Reporting to our Vice President of Sales, the Sales Director will be tasked with overseeing the Environmental Sales Channel. With a focus on developing and managing a long-term strategic sales plan, this role will work to ensure we continue to position the organization as a market leader in the Environmental market.Job Overview and key duties (agile):Lead, manage, and direct the sales team on the deployment of sales strategy and activities.Develop and manage a 3-year strategic sales plan.Represent and own forecast call, covering all open opportunities with the likelihood of close/won.Ensure sales team is effectively positioning and selling our commercialized offerings to existing and new customers, regions, and industries.Evaluate and develop the appropriate commercial structure to support the strategic plan.Develop, implement, and manage the sales expense budget for the segment.Review and support AR in managing receivables and payment terms.Ensure all corporate T&E processes and procedures are followed.Drive accountability across the sales team through key objective creation and bi-weekly reviews.Attend key industry tradeshows and build reports with industry leaders.Understand industry trends to proactively position IPL as a market leader in innovation.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure maximizing utilization across plants, machines, and molds.Work with Operations to understand capacity and costs associated with inventory.Manage customer expectations for inventory requirements and ensure IPL is compensated fairly for services provided.Collaborate with Customer Service and Operations to provide a “best in class” service for customers while supporting operations in their goals of maximizing efficiencies, quality, and cost control.Build and manage key relationships on behalf of the business, embedding the use of CRM to ensure full customer visibility across the business.Communicate and provide sales report activities to divisional management and Company Leadership.Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate the exchange of information and to implement change and improvements.Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and visitors.Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, disciplinary issues, and procedures as appropriate.Additional requirements:Bachelor's degree preferred.8 years of experience working within the environmental waste channel with increasing roles of responsibility.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.Ability to develop and sustain a high-performing team.Advanced consulting, influencing, and negotiation skills, ensuring strategic alignment with multiple parties.Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to assign priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.Highly self-motivated to develop strategic, tactical, and operational direction.Ability to collaborate and bridge across functional boundaries.Strong business acumen and ability to develop a team that supports operations with a focus on both internal and external customer satisfaction.Ability to perform consistently with IPL Values.
