What to ExpectThe Product Manager, Charging role will be part of our Energy Engineering team that is responsible for delivering end-to-end EV charging products and services globally, to support Tesla Energy’s mission.
As a member of the Charging Product team, you will help drive new capabilities in the Supercharger and Wall Connector product lines, as we continue to expand Tesla’s massive charging network. You will be responsible for the success of programs integrating hardware, software, firmware, and services worldwide. The role is a full lifecycle PM, that takes the product from concept to development and production, through launch, product improvements, and scaling.
This is a multi-faceted product management role, that requires flexibility to apply your skills across a wide domain, in support of delivering on the product. The role requires both understanding of customer and market needs, combined with a solid technical foundation to engineer products to fill those needs. Members of our team display tenacity, teamwork, creativity, passion, and a desire to lead the adoption of electric vehicle charging at scale. Candidates need to show curiosity, attention to detail, great communication skills, and the ability to inspire.
What You’ll Do
Drive Product Management for Feature Development and Product Performance Roadmaps
Lead complex feature and product functionality design and requirements definition
Deliver End to End feature and functional technical leadership
Manage feature handoffs to operational stakeholders (install/sales/support teams)
Maintain sustaining feature quality and product experience
Work with engineering and UX teams to deliver a scalable solution that not just meets current needs, but considers future growth scenarios
Communicate with stakeholders, including executives, team members and users
What You’ll Bring
7+ years of work experience in a product management capacity - analyzing user and market needs, defining technical requirements, leading program teams, launching and scaling products - in fast-paced environments
Experience in software & firmware development for networked hardware
Experience in electrical engineering or high voltage electrical systems a plus
Experience in design for manufacturability a plus
Experience in UI/UX development for industrial applications and users
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to execute many projects and tasks in parallel
Knowledge of battery and energy systems
Deep passion for transitioning the world to sustainable energy
Degree in Engineering or technical discipline or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation: $108,000 - $228,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
