Responsibilities:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment and systems, including lighting systems, power generation equipment, and electrical control systems.
- Preparing and interpreting construction documents, such as blueprints, plans, and wiring diagrams.
- Conducting energy calculations to ensure energy-efficient systems.
- Collaborating with architects, civil engineers, and other construction professionals to create and implement electrical designs.
- Ensuring all electrical engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Overseeing the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Ensuring all electrical work meets safety standards and complies with electrical codes.
- Troubleshooting electrical problems and providing effective solutions.
- Conducting inspections and providing technical support during construction phases.
- Providing leadership, guidance, and direction to junior engineers and other team members.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree will be highly advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment and systems.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including lighting systems and power generation equipment.
- Experience in preparing and interpreting construction documents.
- Skills in conducting energy calculations and implementing energy-efficient systems.
- A professional engineering (PE) license.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using electrical design software.
