Senior Material Handler

Job Description:Saab in East Syracuse, NY is seeking a Material Handler to join the Manufacturing/ Production team. Responsibilities will include:Package, ship and prepare paperwork for all domestic and international shipmentsComplete import paperwork and clear imports with Freight ForwardersUnpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items.Examine, stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.Perform inventory and cycle counts.Lift heavy items and operate a forklift.Maintain off site warehouseAbility to drive 26 ft. box truckCompensation Range: $19.47- $22.88/hrThe compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.Skills and Experience:2+ years of relevant experiencePrior experience with best commercial packaging practicesWorking knowledge of Oracle MRP Inventory Management principles and Shipping/Receiving modulesAbility to multi-task and prioritize workloadExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of MS Excel and Oracle (or similar accounting system) desiredForklift certificationActive CDL LicenseCitizenship Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizen.
