UnityPoint is not willing to accept local candidates at this time.A Day in the Life - Curtis - Registered Nurse (vimeo.com)As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.EMR - EPICAvg. caseload - We average 35-50 cases per day. Our expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes.Special equipment - We have 3 Davinci robots, we use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and we use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma. We don't do many ortho joints. How many suites - We have 16 OR's. We run from 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas.Service lines - Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures. Scrub or Circulate - both would be preferred.Other - the call for weekends is from end of shift on Friday until 0630am Monday. The hospital established its highly regarded School of Nursing in 1901, which trained generations of nurses in Iowa until 1999. Many of its graduates served in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II.
