Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 4x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active nursing license Certifications: ACLS, Trauma/Neuro experience Must-Have: Cerner experience for first-time travelers Job Description: - Responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in the ICU.- Must demonstrate proficiency in handling emergencies related to sepsis, shock, multi-organ failure, respiratory failure, trauma, neuro/brain injuries, complicated surgeries, stroke, and encephalopathy.- Required to be familiar with and administer medications using Baxter Sigma Spectrum IV Pumps.- Flexible to float to CICU, MS, Tele, and ER as required by the facility needs.- Must work three weekends within each 6-week schedule block.- Expected to utilize Omnicell, Cerner, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication purposes.- Adhere to dress code requiring navy blue scrubs.- Work under the guidance of a unit-based educator available Monday-Friday and as needed.- Adhere to facility's safety and handling equipment regulations, including the use of ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, and sit-to-stand lifts.- Comply with the COVID-19 vaccination requirement as there are no exemptions.- Ensure completion of fit testing before starting the position.
