2 hours to Columbus & Pittsburgh ED Residency New Family Medicine and Surgery Residencies in 2019 Teaching opportunities Thoracic Surgeon to fill an established high volume thoracic practice. The right candidate will have an interest in all areas of thoracic surgery with an emphasis in coronary artery disease and valve problems, lung cancer, chest trauma, esophageal cancer, & emphysema. The right candidate will encompass the operative, perioperative, and surgical critical care of patients who acquired and congenital pathological conditions within the chest. Procedural volume and type is available upon request. The candidate should have a desire to work in a collegial setting that focuses on providing the best possible patient care. The candidate will join our existing multidisciplinary medicine team including excellent surgical oncology and pulmonary services. Job Requirements: Knowledge, experience and technical skills to accurately diagnose, safely operate upon and effectively manage patients with thoracic diseases of the chest. Substantial knowledge of cardiorespiratory physiology and oncology, as well as capability in the use of heart assist devices, management of abnormal heart rhythms and drainage of the chest, respiratory support systems, endoscopy and invasive and noninvasive diagnostic techniques.
