Senior Claim Executive

IMA's Claims Client Advantage team is seeking a Senior Claim Executive to join our group! This role is responsible for the advocacy for and professional interaction with clients on claim resolutions and matters. A successful applicant must have strong relationship building and management skills, possess self-direction, and have effective problem solving and communication skills. This position can be located in an IMA Hub location or be fully remote!

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a proactive approach, focusing on claim resolutions and strategies
  • Communicate pertinent claim information timely to internal and external clients
  • Maintainstrong relationships with internal and external clients
  • Participate in presentations, including new business, RFPs (clients, TPAs), claim reviews, and renewals
  • Developstrong working knowledge of IMA and carrier computer systems/programs
  • AssistClaims Manager with the claim staff management, including training and development
  • Develop and expand relationships at local, regional, and national levels with carriers, TPAs, Legal Resources, and Experts
  • Expand knowledge and expertise in all lines of coverage
  • Assiston Claims Projects, reports, loss runs, or other tasks as assigned
  • Attendinsurance related seminars including but not limited to continuing education classes
  • Direct the activities of the Workers' Compensation Care Coordinator team members in the processing, monitoring, management and advocacy of claims
  • Manageassociates including performance reviews, hiring and placement, resolving customer complaints, and salary and budget planning
  • Reviewand assign claims and/or accounts to appropriate staff to ensure aggressive processing, adjustment, and management for the client
  • Contributeto hiring and development of staff members and identifies areas for improvement or growth
  • Perform functions of the role within an IMA office 0-50% of the time
  • Support and demonstrate IMA's core values

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of similar or related experience
  • Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent to a college degree
  • Systems skills - Applied Epic, Carrier websites strongly preferred
  • Experience with MS Office productsrequired (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Exceptional technical skill and knowledge of coverage and claims handling
  • Moderate travel required (25-50%)
  • Prefer college graduate or prior claims or general insurance experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Required: Strong mathematical and reasoning skills
  • Ability to discuss and solve claim problems with clients and insurance carriers
