Position Overview
The Department of Neurology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Neurocritical Care Clinical & Faculty Physician to join our expanding team. The physician will manage patients with acute neurological disorders, including those in the neurocritical care units, and provide consultation for emergency and critical care services. The role also includes supporting the acute stroke and telestroke services. Academic rank and track will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bedside training for residents, fellows, medical students, and nursing staff.
- Manage patient care in neurocritical care units and provide consultation for stroke and telestroke services.
- Perform ICU procedures and take on-call assignments as needed.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and ensure continuing medical education requirements are met.
- Participate in academic, service, and committee activities within the department and medical center.
Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified/Eligible in Neurology
- Completion of a Neurocritical Care Fellowship
- Board Certified/Eligible in Neurocritical Care
- Eligible for an Ohio Medical License
- Interest in pursuing academic and clinical career development through research, innovative care, and education
Department Overview The Neurology Department at OSUWMC includes 15 divisions, 63 physicians, and a dedicated team of researchers and fellows. We provide subspecialty care across 7 ambulatory centers and 3 hospitals. Our Neurocritical Care Unit will expand to 30 beds by 2026, supporting one of the largest telestroke networks in the country, with 32 affiliated hospitals.
