Position Overview:As a Data Analyst Intern, you will participate in various aspects of the Information Technology department. You will work alongside team members and have the opportunity to complete a capstone project which you'll work on throughout the internship.
Housing: Local campus housing (private room, private bath, and shared living space) is provided for interns selecting Thief River Falls as their internship home base. We are unable to provide housing for Bloomington-based internships.
This is a hybrid role that will require onsite attendance.
Responsibilities:Assist with day-to-day tasks and projects in the assigned departmentSupport the team in their regular dutiesParticipate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessionsCollaborate with team members on various projects and initiativesConduct research and analysis as assignedMaintain organized records of work and project filesShow a solid understanding of SQL, other querying methods, and ETL|ELT processesArchitect basic data structures and flows from source to target with efficiency and scalability in mindWork closely with developers to understand needs and translate those into data model designsResearch data issues and problems in programs and other reporting toolsCapstone Project:
Gain practical experience in the assigned departmentDevelop a deeper understanding of DigiKey and how it operatesImprove business skills such as communication, project management, data analysis, etc.Build a professional network within the industryRequired knowledge, skills, and abilities
The best candidate for this position will be a current student or recent graduate with education in an IT or analytics-related field and a strong interest in hands-on learning experiencesMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills including average to above-average computer abilityBe willing to take the initiative, working independently and collaborativelyDemonstrating a positive, collaborative approach is important in this roleMust be eligible to work in the US without sponsorshipTools, Systems, and Software:
