Job Summary:

The Windows Workstation Engineer is responsible for maintaining, securing, and deploying Windows operating systems and supporting infrastructure services within a production environment.

This role focuses on ensuring the continued availability of Microsoft systems, providing technical support, and driving efficiency through automation and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will work on multiple projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and resolve technical issues while adhering to compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:Perform OS imaging, security hardening, maintenance, and deployment of Windows workstations.Assess and apply vendor vulnerability updates for hardware and software.Manage Active Directory design and administer Group Policies.Proactively monitor Microsoft infrastructure to ensure system and service availability.Provide support for escalated application, operating system, and hardware issues.Develop customized software feature installations for specific applications.Document installation, configuration, and work procedures.Support and monitor highly available solutions, ensuring operational continuity.Perform system backup and restore processes.Develop processes to automate regular maintenance and support actions.Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Microsoft environment.Assist with testing and implementing new software releases.Provide on-call support as needed.Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of Windows Workstation operating systems and core infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, etc.).Experience with enterprise monitoring technologies and software deployment methodologies.Strong understanding of networking infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN) and protocols (TCP/IP, WINS).Proficiency in system performance measuring and monitoring.2 or 4-year degree in a related field.2-5 years of experience supporting Microsoft SCCM environments, including building, troubleshooting, and patching.Experience working in a compliance-regulated environment.Familiarity with formal Patch Management and Change Control Systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Live within 50 miles of Allentown, PA for on-call support.Highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with formal Patch Management and Change Control Systems.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills in remote and multi-environment setups.Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp technical and business-related concepts.Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to project tasks.
