Job Description
Lead the 2nd Line of Defense Operational Risk oversight for various First Line Functions across the firm.Act as an independent challenge function to the business by providing feedback and escalation.Conduct deep-dives and targeted risk assessments of areas and processes of concern.Record and analyze Operational Risk Events, suggesting and monitoring remediation actions to mitigate control weaknesses.Lead regular risk meetings with senior stakeholders and review Business Unit RCSAs, KRIs, and Events.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, finance, law, business administration, or a related field required.10-15+ years of experience in Risk Management or Insurance departments within a corporation or insurance brokerage.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently, with attention to detail and deadlines.Responsible for claims management and reporting.Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Ability to adapt to rapidly changing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
