The Role

Our innovative credit-building app empowers individuals to take control of their financial future. We're looking for a product-minded credit counselor to help our customers in a one-on-one fashion to pave the way for new product innovation and feedback.

What you'll be doingOne-on-One Counseling:

Provide personalized credit counseling sessions via phone, email, chat, or video addressing users' specific financial situations and concerns.Financial Analysis:

Review and analyze users' credit reports to identify areas for improvement and develop customized action plans.Education and Guidance:

Educate users on credit principles, debt management, budgeting, and financial planning to promote long-term financial health.Content Development:

Collaborate with the content team to create educational materials, webinars, and workshops on credit-building topics.Product Integration:

Work closely with the product team to relay user feedback and contribute to app or tooling enhancements.What we look for in you:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, counseling, or a related field.Certification:

Certified Credit Counselor designation from a recognized institution (e.g., NFCC, AFCPE) preferred.Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit counseling, financial coaching, or a similar role.Knowledge:

Strong understanding of credit reporting agencies, credit scoring models, consumer credit laws (e.g., FCRA, FDCPA), and financial counseling best practices.Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in an accessible manner.Interpersonal Skills:

Empathetic, patient, and skilled at building trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Technical Proficiency:

Comfortable using digital communication platforms, financial software, and CRM systems.Language Skills:

Bilingual abilities are a plus.

US salary range for this full-time position consists of 70-150K base depending on years of experience + equity + benefits

Our salary ranges are determined by role and experience:

Additionally, we host regular team building events to help you get to know the Kikoff team! We host three hackweeks a year and we have a yearly Camp Kikoff that is 3 days and two nights, this year hosted in Santa Cruz with just over a hundred Kiksters.
