Cloud Engineer
for our Ground Improvement Group based out of our
Hanover, MD
headquarters. This position can be fully remote, but a candidate in the
Eastern Time Zone
is preferred.Responsibilities:Create a strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise environment in AzureConfigure and manage virtual networks in AzureDevelop scripts to automate the deployment of resource stacks and associated configurationsUtilize native Azure services to meet the firms technology and resiliency requirementsDrive Identity and access and configuration management, and monitoring strategy for AzureLead design process for network connectivity to AzurePerforms the implementation, operational support, maintenance, and optimization of network hardware, software, and communication links of the cloud infrastructure.Extend standard systems management processes into the cloud including change, incident, and problem managementEstablish and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for both availability and performance managementEstablish internal pricing and instance selection model for Azure virtual machinesIntegrate Azure management tooling with MLP including automation of spin-up and spin-down and billing approvalsDesign and implement data protection options, including HA and BCP protection in AzureResearches and writes technical documentation that is beneficial to the organization.Qualifications:
10+ years of experience as a full time IT professional3+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments, including IaaS and PaaSResolves complex problems, creates, and improves procedures, and facilitates communication.Hands on experience using the Azure administration portalHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Microsoft BicepBachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering)Demonstrable experience deploying enterprise workloads to AzureProficiency with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languagesHands-on experience with one or more configuration management systems such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Azure State Configuration (DSC)Experience designing and supporting enterprise core services as well as cloud deployments of these servicesExtensive knowledge of the Microsoft Enterprise software products and servicesBusiness Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning experience, a plusMicrosoft Azure Certification (MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or equivalent) are a plus
Additional Information:Salary Range : $125,000 - $150,000 per year
