We are excited to welcome new staff into our amily and to work on this critical, life-saving mission together.SafeHaven is seeking a Full-Time PAIP Facilitator.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:In accordance with the team philosophy of the agency, may routinely be required to conduct or assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed. Must act in accordance with the agency's mission statement and goals.Co-facilitates a minimum of four 2-hour PAIP group sessions weekly using the Domestic Abuse Intervention Program's (DAIP) model of partner abuse intervention.Generates and assists with accurately documenting group facilitation notes on clients listed on roster within three days of a session. Monitors and documents client's level of participation and communicate concerns about client's accountability for abusive choices to program leadership, referral sources, and as applicable, the Domestic Violence High-Risk Team (DVHRT) hosted by SafeHaven.Faxes absences and tardy reports for clients within 24 hours of session. Faxes and emails monthly reports to clients' referral sources.Completes state-mandated initial training in 25 hours of battering intervention, and 15 hours of family violence. Maintains ongoing training on a 2-year-cycle of continuing education.Attends DAIP's annual "Creating a Process of Change for Men Who Batter" training, which covers the curriculum the program uses. Attends DAIP's "Advanced Facilitation Series" annually after the first year of hire. Acts as liaison and maintains professional relationship with referring agencies.Must be able to work flexible hours including nighttime and weekend hours.QualificationsBachelor's degree required. Degree in Social Work or related field preferred. Master's Degree (M.A.) in Social Work or related field preferred. Knowledge of clinical intervention, social work theory and ethics. Experience in and knowledge of family violence theory preferred.Language SkillsAbility to draft emails, reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public. Ability to speak effectively in front of large groups of clients. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints and deescalate situations that may arise.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.LMSW or LPC preferred, but not required.Current Texas Driver's License required. Must provide proof of automobile liability insurance.Must have reliable transportation. Frequent prolonged sitting, occasional walking, stooping, and standing and lifting of up to 20 pounds.Successful applicants must submit to state and federal criminal background check and be clear appropriate to the role.Occasional exposure to communicable diseases. Frequent exposure to resistant court- and CPS-mandated populations.Frequent exposure to client descriptions of physically and emotionally abusive behaviors.
