The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled

Workday Report Developer

who will play a critical role in shaping data-driven decisions across the organization. The ideal candidate will not only excel in developing complex reports and dashboards using Workday's reporting tools but will also engage deeply with business partners to strategically align reporting solutions with organizational goals. This role requires someone who thrives in solving complex problems, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and ensures data accuracy and timeliness to drive impactful business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Report Development:Design, develop, and maintain advanced, custom reports, dashboards, and scorecards using Workday Report Writer, Prism Analytics, and other reporting tools.Collaborate with business leaders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to improve decision-making in HR, finance, and operational processes.Proactively identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities and implement solutions that align with broader business strategies.

Strategic Planning & Business Collaboration:Engage with stakeholders across HR, finance, operations, and IT to understand their reporting needs and how data can support strategic initiatives.Act as a key partner in business planning discussions, leveraging your expertise in data analytics to help forecast trends, optimize workforce planning, and drive financial decision-making.Regularly communicate findings and insights to leadership teams, providing recommendations based on data trends and potential business impacts.

Problem Solving & Data Analysis:Analyze complex data sets and business processes to create reports that provide critical insights into performance, efficiency, and compliance.Solve intricate data challenges by developing calculated fields and complex report logic within Workday to ensure accurate reporting.Troubleshoot issues related to data integrity, system performance, and report discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting outputs.

Data Governance & System Administration:Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all reports and dashboards by adhering to best practices in data governance and compliance standards.Conduct regular audits to monitor the accuracy and performance of reports, resolving any discrepancies to maintain data reliability.Stay informed of new Workday features and updates, evaluating their impact on existing reports and processes, and implementing improvements accordingly.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:Collaborate closely with teams to optimize reporting solutions that address evolving business needs, streamline workflows, and enhance efficiency.Provide training and guidance to end-users, empowering them to leverage reports and analytics effectively in their roles.Document processes, report specifications, and lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing across the organization.

plays a pivotal role in influencing the organization's data-driven decision-making processes. The quality and timeliness of reports developed by this role will drive strategic business decisions, such as workforce planning, budget allocations, and performance assessments. Decisions regarding report design, data visualization, and interpretation will have a direct impact on operational efficiency, financial forecasting, and long-term organizational strategy. Poor reporting can lead to misinformed decisions, potentially resulting in compliance risks, financial discrepancies, and operational inefficiencies.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Workday reporting and analytics.

Technical Skills:Strong proficiency in Workday Report Writer, Advanced Report Writer, and Calculated Fields.Experience with Workday Prism Analytics and other Workday reporting tools.Knowledge of SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage.Deep understanding of HR, financial, and operational processes within Workday.

Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for process and system improvements.Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.A strategic thinker who can anticipate future needs and align reporting solutions with broader business goals.Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with various business units.Detail-oriented, with a focus on data accuracy, quality, and compliance.Preferred Qualifications

Workday certification in reporting or analytics.Experience with Workday integrations, security setup, and data migration.Familiarity with Workday's business process framework and workflow optimization.
