Gilbane is seeking a Senior Accountant who is a mid-level professional capable of fulfilling the project accounting and project forecasting requirements of multiple mid-sized projects or a singular large project, including day-to-day interface with project management, client and contractor personnel, while overseeing and developing junior level accounting staff. Responsibilities
Manage contracts, amendments, insurance, bonds, SOV, Files, and Co Policies
Produce timely and accurate requisitions and lien waiversFormat and set-up project forecast to meet both internal and client reporting needsManage monthly project forecast meetings and maintain accurate ETC for labor and expenseEnsure timely management of accounts receivable and payablesManage the project financial closeoutDevelop and maintain positive professional relationships both internally & externallyReview and understand cost proposalsUnderstand and manage various contract types and delivery methodsTrain and mentor AccountantsAssist the Accounting Manager or Controller with monthly WIP processAct as independent accountant during project forecast meetings to mitigate financial risk
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field8-10 years with CM or General Contractor organization working on larger complex construction projects and/or joint venturesOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordProficient in CMiCUnderstanding of the overall project execution process, including budgeting, project forecasting, cost control, schedule, anticipated cost and project profitabilitySalary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.For Baltimore, MD this ranges from $92,400.00 - $127,100.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
