Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Coordinator is an essential position in ensuring that the inventory needs of operations are met and that inventory records are accurate. They always ensure the accuracy of the perpetual inventory by cycle counting, researching inventory variances, maintaining the integrity of product storage locations and lot numbers, and monitoring material receiving and other material movement transactions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:•None.

Duties/Responsibilities:•Perform daily cycle counts of inventory on production floor and in the warehouse(s)•Publish daily cycle count results.•Research inventory discrepancies.•Maintain labeling for all physical spaces where material is stored (a place for everything and a label for every place).•Verify Inventory on stock outs and shortages.•Maintain and improve relations with warehouse personnel to optimize the movement of materials throughout the warehouse(s) and production floors. Analyze material movements and report performance.•Manages warehouse finished goods inventory and maintains database with quantities, lot number and location information.•Coordinates and schedules the movement of finished goods throughout the warehouse, including receipt, storage, and proper location of finished goods.•Operates within the daily Supply Chain plan, arranging for stock and finished goods to be placed in the proper picking locations within the warehouse, confirming lot information and all bar coding.•Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventory of required items.•Identifies and reports slow-moving products and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.•Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.•Operates forklift trucks, pallet trucks, cherry pickers and other powered or manual equipment as needed.•Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.•Daily interaction with Supply Chain Manager on planning, organizing, and coordinating finished goods inventories.•Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:•Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.•Ability to communicate effectively.•Ability to apply simple math concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.•Works well independently and with others.•Organized with attention to detail.•Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.•Ability to prepare necessary paperwork and documents, as well as read, sort, and verify packaging.•Basic mathematical and reading skills.

KPI's• I nventory accuracy and reliability. Inventory accuracy is the percentage of items that match the system records in terms of quantity, condition, and lot number. This KPI leads to improved customer service, order fulfillment, and demand planning.•Count variance. This is the difference between the physical count and the system record for an item. This KPI keeps track of the steps involved in locating, investigating, and implementing corrective actions to reduce inventory discrepancies.•First in First out (FIFO) management. The process by which first-produced or first-purchased assets are sold or utilized. To achieve this, inventory is correctly rotated in accordance with batch numbers and manufacturing dates.

Education and Experience:•High School Diploma or GED preferred.•1-2 years' experience in shipping or receiving or related warehouse positions preferred.•Forklift certification required.

Physical Requirements:•This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. You will use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.•This job requires heavy lifting. The employee must regularly lift and /or move from 5 pounds to 70 pounds with both hands.•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.•Ability to tolerate conditions associated with no air conditioning.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to:•Wet and/or humid and hot conditions•Fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat and vibration.•Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals•Moderate noise level•The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and forklifts.•The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
