Position SummaryAs a Banker III at Busey, you will strengthen customer relationships by engaging in sales conversations. As you uncover various financial needs, you will be able to recommend Busey products and services designed to support the customers financial wellbeing. A Level III Banker also acts as a "coach" within the branch, offering new bankers and tellers support even after their core training.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesIdentify needs-based opportunities and make sales referrals to all areas of the corporation to meet customers' financial needs.Along with Service Center leadership and the Private Client team, cross-sell a full range of banking services and products to present and potential customers.Act as an on-the-job coach to new Bankers and Tellers; ensuring that they have continued support during and after the mentor period.Support other branch team members on an as needed basis.Identify customers' and non-customers' financial needs and sell all appropriate products and services.Education & Experience
Knowledge of:
Strong sales and customer service skillsStrong interpersonal communication skillsBank compliance, security, and operational policiesPossess knowledge of all bank products, features, benefits as well as basic math functions.Ability to:
Accurately count moneyPerform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressuresStand for extended periods of timeLift 50 poundsExplain products and services to current and potential customersAlong with Service Center leadership and other LOB, participate in cross-sellingEducation and Training:
Requires a High School diploma.Cash handling experience (preferred)2 years of banking experience with lending responsibilities requiredPursuant to the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act ("SAFE Act"), all Bankers (if lending) are required to maintain current registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry ("NMLS"). If such registration is not active as of the hire date, the Banker must immediately attain active registration upon employment. Bankers who fail to maintain an active and current registration will be unable to lend and may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
