SUMMARY:This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies for a GS-13 Security Specialist with NSMA. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer.DUTIES:You will be responsible for risk management and mitigation to protect the technology/program and to ensure that program cost, schedule and performance meet the thresholds of the approved security architecture for the program.You will provide guidance in implementing security policy at contractor/government facilities, review and approve physical security documentation, and conduct site surveys and physical security accreditations.You will provide guidance for the issuance, control, education, and guidance relative to the Security Classification Guide on all classified items or systems.You will determine access eligibility determinations in accordance with the Navy Security Clearance and Access Nominations Process.You will conduct security briefings to include indoctrinations, debriefing, annual refresher training, and foreign travel briefingsYou will review documentation required for classified information systems in accordance with the current security regulations.You will coordinate with the Authorizing Official to obtain and maintain current Approval to Operate.QUALIFICATIONS:Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:Leading compliance inspections for Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). to include validation/oversight of self-inspections; experience in developing and implementing Corrective Action Plans;Leading investigations of security incidents to include reporting, documenting findings in accordance with policy and recommending corrective actions;Assessing security problems including analyzing alternatives, recommending solutions and providing expert technical advice and security direction and guidance to audiences at all levels;Working with the concepts, procedures, and techniques for SAPF/SCIF (Facility) physical security standards, industrial security, information security, operations security, and personnel security;Applying proficient oral and written communication skills to communicate with managers and with civilian and military contacts across the DoD and other agencies;Writing and reviewing security policy; andConducting briefings and communicating security guidance to high level audiences.A complete resume is required.
