We are seeking a Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist to join our team!

The Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist will support the Commercial Loan Servicing Team and is responsible for performing routine servicing functions, including but not limited to responding to borrower requests, processing payments, preparing reports, and responding to member and internal staff inquiries. This role requires the ability to effectively provide support and problem resolution to internal and external customers, ensure that assigned work has been completed consistent with departmental service levels, and serve as a back up to other Servicing Team members.

WHAT You'll DO:

The Loan Servicing Specialist will be responsible for the following loan servicing activities, ensuring that all activities are completed in compliance with both organizational policies as well as federal and state regulatory requirements.

Assist with processing of loan servicing transactions including, but not limited to, posting loan payments, processing payoffs, developing payoff letters, and updating information in the loan servicing systems, as directed.Investigate and resolve issues related to loan servicing, insurance requirements, billing, and payments, escalating more complex issues for assistance in resolution, as needed.Complete and distribute monthly and annual reporting including, but not limited to, HMDA/Multi Family, FHLB and external participations.Produce and distribute year-end interest statements and 1098 statements. Research IRS TIN Errors. 2Assist with monitoring required insurance and update information in the servicing system, as directed.Review newly closed loans and modified loans to ensure system set up and data integrity.Support collateral management ensuring data integrity across systems.Prepare and record partial releases of real property.Review required reserve accounts to ensure compliance with loan documentation.Support covenant monitoring and management.Create monthly billing statements accurately and within the appropriate timeframes.Process borrower insurance claims.Support ACH batch release and processing, as needed.Complete all required compliance and regulatory training as directed.Provide a high level of support to borrowers, internal colleagues, and external servicing partners in a professional, highly responsive, and accurate manner.Assist borrowers in resolving servicing issues, escalating complex issues to a senior team member, as needed.Commitment to a high quality of data integrity and accuracy and meeting required deadlines.Serve as a backup to Servicing team members, as needed.Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary.WHAT You'll NEED:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience and minimum 2 years' experience in Commercial banking or loan servicing.Strong commitment to our mission - creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities.Preference for working in organizations that prioritize teamwork and collaboration.Ability to work effectively with colleagues whether working in the office or remotely.High level of customer service skills with demonstrated focus on responsiveness, accuracy and professionalism with borrowers, internal and external partners.Strong knowledge of commercial lending, loan documentation, and banking systems.Understanding of UCC filing, wire transactions, lien terminations, and ACH processing preferred.Understanding of accounting principles, transaction balancing, and debits/credits.Experience with deposit accounts and covenant compliance.Strong technical aptitude including proficiency with Word, Excel, and Access and the ability to quickly learn and utilize Loan Servicing systems.Ability to generate and distribute detailed and reliable reports consistently and with accuracy. Keen attention to detail, strong detail orientation; ability to follow through to resolution ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.Strong written and oral communication skills.Fluency in Spanish preferred.
