JOB SUMMARY:

The Help Desk Support Specialist position helps implement the strategic vision of the department across all the organization's sites. This position is responsible for providing technical support, installation and configuration of computer hardware, servers, software, disaster recovery, network, and printers within a LAN, WAN, WLAN environment. The Help Desk Support Specialist position will ensure the repair or escalation of issues as appropriate and will strive to maintain the highest level of service for all staff. The Help Desk Support Specialist will help in building and maintaining an updated and efficient computer system to optimize the role of technology in the day-to-day functions of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Serves as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization (Help Desk).Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and vendors.Installs, maintains, updates computer equipment, software and network systems as needed.Provides excellent technical support via telephone, email, remote, and onsite. Support includes network access setup, basic system setup, software support, email, and more.Participates as a technical resource needed in both large and small projects.Maintains technology asset inventory tracker.Build, implement network and software standards for servers and end-user workstations.Handle tickets and monitor queue of callers.Ensure and enforce integrity of controls, policies, and procedures.Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization needs; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.Responsible for daily backend administration of client facing line of business tools and systems including, but not limited to Active Directory and Office 365.Supports with asset disposition, compliance, and process.Setup and configure A/V equipment for meetings.Troubleshoots, installs, configures and provides support to VoIP systems.Assists in training staff on IT processes, procedures, and new technologies.Installs and maintains peripheral equipment (i.e., mouse, keyboard, speakers, printers, monitors etc.)Performs other duties as assigned.In addition to the responsibilities listed above, all Gads Hill Center employees are responsible for the following:

Participating in agency outreach and recruitment events, including evenings and weekends.Participating in supervision meetings and workshops within the agency and outside (if applicable).Participating in civic engagement activities that advance the mission of Gads Hill Center.Advancing parent leadership development.Ability to travel between sites.Lift equipment that weighs up to 50 pounds.Performing other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills.Customer service skills are a core requirement of this position.Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.Knowledge of Windows networking including DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, firewall, routers.Attention to detail and able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Ability to pass a criminal record and child abuse/neglect registry check.A passion for the mission of Gads Hill Center.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
